I met Kayla when this sweet, beautiful little girl was about 6. She was the niece of my boyfriend and she was shy, sweet, with the most amazing blue eyes you have ever seen and absolutely darling. As time progressed I was lucky enough to call her my niece as well. And since I'm now her aunt and get to embarrass her, here's a photo of her, her sister Avry and my son Xander. Awe! They are so little and cute.
The thing about time is it goes fast. In a blink of an eye Kayla is now a senior and ready to take on the world. Kayla still has a great love of animals and has developed a ton of artistic talent. Her drawings are absolutely amazing. She's talked to me about the possibility of becoming a tattoo artist. If she goes this route, trust me, she will have people lined up, including myself. I love this age, it's all in front of you.
Kayla loves being in the mountains and we decided to go up over Georgetown, Colorado and explore Guanella Pass for Colorado's famous leaf changing season. It did not disappoint. It was a gorgeous sunny day fall day and I drug her all along the trail. She was such a good sport and there wasn't anywhere she wasn't willing to do.
Kayla, I'm so incredibly proud of the lady you have become. You make me laugh, you have such a kind heart, you put up with our crazy family, you are gorgeous and you are going to be doing great things! I love you to the moon and back, thank you for letting me take your photos!
