Fantastically Asked Questions

+ How many weddings do you take on every year?

20 is my cap. I’m not a wedding machine and I pour a lot of love and attention into my couples. I never want to show up to a wedding feeling like, “Just another wedding.” Your wedding is so special and unique, and I want to make sure I’m 100% here for it!

+ Do you do other type of photography during the year?

As a favor to past clients and some friends I will do an occasional family session throughout the year and in my slow season, but my couples are my main priority and take precedent over everything else.

+ Do you shoot LGBTQ weddings?

I’m sorry this is even on here, because it’s ridiculous. But to be clear, I DO AND I LOVE IT! And I do them with a lot of love and care, because my father was gay and he wasn’t accepted and I never want another person to feel that way again.

+ How many photos can I expect to receive? When will we receive them?

This all depends on your wedding day. I would say at minimum about 50 an hour, which is almost a photo a minute! It takes about 4-6 weeks to deliver your photos via a beautiful online gallery. You will receive 5 previews within 48 hours of your wedding.

+ Do you edit all of your photos?

I do! My editing is consistent with the photos you see here and on Instagram. I do not edit body shapes or create things that weren’t there, like sunsets, or Big Foot. My goal is for you to look back at your day and feel like you were right back there again!

+ How would you describe your photographic ways?

Classic, timeless and natural. I love photography trends, and for fun on my own I do a lot of playful editing. I never want you to look back on your photos and wonder why everything looked dead around you, when you were in a beautiful green field. I want you to see your photos and remember those moments to the point you can remember the smells. I want your grand kids (or grand niece or nephew) to see these photos and make them feel like they were actually there too.

+ Kate! I need you in my life and I need you to capture my wedding day? How do I make this happen?

Yes! I knew we were meant to be! First go to my contact page and we are going to get to know each other…then I require a 25% non-refundable retainer to hold your date and a signed contract. You may pay as your go, but the full balance will be due 30 days prior to your wedding.
